The CFO

The last few years have seen the administration, control and finance area taking on more and more responsibility in companies, resulting in a progressive affirmation of the CFO’s role. The role of the CFO is to coordinate and collect different types of information to support the strategic and business choices. This perspective does not call into question the typical skills, which are still crucially important. On the contrary, the CFO must take on a more managerial role, in a “business partner” sense, with a key role in the implementation of the strategy, the ability to predict the financial consequences of the strategic plan and to dialogue with managers of other company functions. This vision requires the capacity to analyse and process data and information (and in this sense, new information and communication technologies are opening up very interesting scenarios) in order to correctly identify the performances and gain valuable input for guiding the corporate strategies. This course effectively interprets the evolution of the role of the CFO. It provides a comprehensive overview of the activities and contents of the role in terms of technique and special knowledge, of the connection to the business vision and corporate strategy and the soft skills needed to be an authoritative and credible manager. This program is complete and is based on a transverse and interdisciplinary approach, with a wealth of integrated teaching methods (theories, exercises, business plans, business games, outdoor management and coaching activities).

The course has a duration of nine months, held on alternating weekends, with the following indicative times: Friday from 2pm to 7pmXfrom 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm. The calendar also includes some Thursdays.

This course is compulsory for obtaining the Executive Master in Finance.
