The Finance Area has undergone an evolution that has led to the recognition of its ever-increasing responsibility and importance in the organisational structure of a company. In fact, the area is no longer seen as just a cost centre, but has taken on a more autonomous and strategic function, a real generator of value; an area linked not only to the management of technical activities but also strategic and business aspects.
The organisational and procedural dimension of the area has changed, as well as the interactive relationship with other business areas. All this requires a leap of quality and a broader and more integrated vision of the area by other key figures, starting with the Chief Financial Officer through to his close collaborators. In this context, the level and profile of the skills required by financial managers is increasing to include broader technical-specialist knowledge, a strategic vision, an understanding of business and greater integration with the complexity of industrial business activities.

The Executive Master in Finance by the CUOA Foundation is a complete and modular program that interprets the changes underway in the Finance Area and in the role of the CFO and other leading players (such as the Controller, Corporate Treasurer). On the one hand, it develops a solid and extremely concrete technical dimension with a global vision of the different activities and responsibilities of the Finance Area and with different options of specialisation (management control, treasury, corporate finance, accounting); on the other hand, it promotes the growth of management skills by working on soft skills, which are indispensable for being a leader and an actor of change. The teaching method is very specific and hands on, with project work and business simulations (such as business plans and business games), with the use of outdoor management activities and coaching to develop management skills.

The entire program consists of 380 hours of classroom activities, including individual project work.
Most of the lessons are held on Friday afternoon (from 2pm to 7pmX9am to 5pm) and Saturday morning (from 9am to 1pm) on alternating weekends.
Action learning consists of two classroom days, a dedicated tutorship (two interviews) and an individual project work to be developed at home.
The entire program is to be completed within two years, but can also be completed within a three-year period.
