The Project

The value of our Business School lies in the depth and analysis of its content, with a focus on growth and development. That is precisely what TeMa is all about: sharing value on topics of interest and relevance to businesses. A magazine created and designed to be a tool for in-depth analysis and staying up to date, but also one with great practical value.

“Management Topics” is a repository of know-how: a tool for in-depth analysis and staying up to date, but also one of great practical value. The various monographic issues will offer food for thought, perspectives, and insights into modern business management, while also serving as a rich source of practical ideas, suggestions, and examples that can be applied in any organizational context.

“It is important to promote best management practices in order to create an actionable culture—one that is directly applicable and can be put into practice by companies in our industrial sector. TEMA was founded precisely with this goal in mind: each issue addresses a specific management topic through articles, interviews, and easy-to-read case studies, offering management lessons that entrepreneurs and managers can immediately apply in the field.”
Andrea Furlan, scientific director of TeMa and full professor of management at the University of Padua.

No. 5/2026 - The Future of Work, the Work of the Future

The fifth issue of Te.Ma is dedicated to exploring how artificial intelligence, digitization, and new technologies are profoundly transforming work, organizations, and the very way people participate in economic and social life.
However, what clearly emerges from the contributions collected in this issue of TeMA is that technology alone is not enough to explain the change currently underway.
People remain at the heart of this transformation: their skills, their fears, their
organizational relationships, the institutions that regulate work, and the cultural narratives through which we interpret the future.

No. 4/2025 - The Modern Family Business: Competitive and Sustainable

The fourth issue of Te.Ma is dedicated to the modern family business. We discuss how family businesses are evolving to tackle the complexity of global markets, integrating tradition and innovation, identity and openness, responsibility and competitiveness. It is not a matter of imitating external models, but of building a dynamic balance that highlights their history and founding values, transforming them into drivers of sustainable growth.

Governance, managerialization, talent acquisition, sustainability, and legacy are the pillars of this transformation. The contemporary family business is no longer insular and paternalistic: it is a learning organization that engages with the outside world and measures its impact not only in economic terms, but also in cultural and social terms. The challenge is to balance continuity and change, creating value for multiple generations.

Scientific Director: Andrea Furlan.
Editor of this issue: Paolo Gubitta.

No. 3/2025 - From Product to Service: Businesses and the Challenge of Servitization

The third issue of TeMa is dedicated to servitization. We discuss digital technologies and artificial intelligence for creating new service offerings and how to develop business models centered on customer service.

To implement these transformations,a cultural shift and a willingness to change are essential: we need to prioritize people—the true driving force behind businesses—and maintain a strong focus on customer needs. A good product is no longer enough; today, companies are required to build new business models in which the service component is highly developed and closely linked to the product itself, as an integral part that generates much higher perceived value.

Scientific Directors: Andrea Furlan and Roberto Grandinetti.
Editor of this issue: Marco Paiola.

No. 2/2024 - Business Growth and M&A Processes

The second issue of TeMa is dedicated to acquisitions and mergers—that is, corporate growth strategies that occur through external expansion.
This thematic focus—in line with the mission of the CUOA journal—addresses a phenomenon that is very much present in the discussions taking place today within Italian companies and in the decisions made by their entrepreneurs and top managers, regardless of the company’s role in a given M&A transaction.

Growth is increasingly a cornerstone of business strategy and represents a primary objective in strategic plans regardless of company size (small, medium, or large) or type of business.

Editor-in-Chief: Roberto Grandinetti
Co-Editor-in-Chief: Andrea Furlan
Issue Editor: Francesco Gatto

No. 1/2024 - Lean and Agile

The first issue of TeMa is dedicated to Lean and Agile for sustainable business.
We discuss how to navigate the paradox between improving what already exists and exploring the new, and how lean thinking supports environmental and social sustainability.

Scientific Editors: Andrea Furlan and Roberto Grandinetti.
Issue Editor: Andrea Furlan.
