De André sang: “Try to hold a whole world in your heart, and you won’t be able to put it into words…” It is, in fact, extremely difficult to convey in just a few lines the depth of the collaboration between the CUOA Business School and the organization I’m part of, Centro Carni Company Spa.

As always, I’ll try to let myself be guided by the three words that capture the essence of CCC and that share several common traits with the Vicenza Business School—in a blend of personal and professional growth that has placed me right at the center of these two worlds: work and education.

Culture, Care, Control: 3 words, 2 realities, 1 journey that leaves a lasting impression.

Culture. It is the first “C” in CUOA and the first “C” in Centro Carni Company. For us, it represents tradition and a history that began in 1890, when two families from Tombolo (PD)—the Pilottos and the Beghettos—began working together in the beef industry. Culture is “know-how,” but it also means never tiring of learning. It is curiosity and awareness. These two additional “Cs” guided my journey at CUOA, which began in 2024 and concluded at the end of 2025. Curiosity to explore new operational models; awareness to expand my knowledge within an unfamiliar yet fundamental framework. The goal? To develop practical skills that I can bring to the company to help strengthen a managerial and innovative culture, always while respecting the values passed down through the generations. Culture is a perpetual motion: the insights sparked by discussions with professors and classmates helped me gain new perspectives, making me a bearer of ideas within a movement that never stands still—because it is precisely this movement that generates creation.

Care. For our company, “caring deeply” about our products, processes, and people is a daily commitment. One aspect of that care is training. Feeling supported by partners and colleagues during an MBA program is essential: there is care in allowing an employee to develop professionally, but there is even greater care in allowing them to “find their footing.” This journey has improved not only my skills but also my relationships and my ability to guide processes toward a resilience that is not merely endurance but the capacity to evolve.

Control. At Centro Carni Company, control is a cornerstone. At CUOA, I internalized a fundamental mantra: you can only measure what you control, and you can only control what you measure. Control does not have a negative connotation; on the contrary, it is the key to setting and achieving ambitious goals. Understanding control in these terms is a decisive step toward the success of both a company and an individual.

Today more than ever, I am convinced that the partnership between industry and business schools is the driving force behind building a collaborative and transparent supply chain. It is precisely from this synergy that the managers of the future emerge: leaders ready to foster the growth of our region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with expertise and vision.
Look far ahead, and then look even farther ahead. (Baden Powell)
