A testimonial from our Supporting Member for the “Si-energie” column.
For several years now, our company, Reti, has been undergoing a smooth evolution. As a company grows, the challenges increase, and it is necessary to adopt a solid organizational structure.
Reti took on this challenge, recognizing the importance of strengthening the managerial skills of certain strategic departments—such as Finance, HR, and Marketing—by supporting team leaders in their executive master’s programs.
For the entire company, this was an opportunity to create new value by innovating processes, sharing enthusiasm, and increasing employee engagement.
“After finishing college, among my many dreams was the one of pursuing a master’s degree at CUOA. That dream had remained there, waiting to be fully realized, with the right maturity and awareness. My journey began with a need for personal and professional growth, which I brought back to the company, where I received trust and support right from the start. The company recognized the value I would bring to it thanks to my educational growth.
The program covered all the topics a marketing manager should know. It was a comprehensive journey that helped me build the company’s marketing department. I learned to think strategically and to put myself in the customer’s shoes to understand what they truly want. I learned how to prepare a business plan, manage a budget, measure performance, and set goals. But above all, I learned how to build relationships with colleagues and instructors, deliver a presentation, share my thoughts, and articulate my point of view.
I would absolutely recommend CUOA to colleagues and friends—I believe in the power of shared knowledge. The presentation of the final project was a special moment. I presented a project I had worked on daily at the company, involving my colleagues from all departments and levels in gathering data and information, and in defining objectives and strategies. It was the real-world application of what I had learned over the two years of the master’s program. I was supported by Petra Schrott, who, with her invaluable expertise as a teacher and professional, taught me how to bring my ideas to life by giving them concrete form.
For me, pursuing a master’s degree at CUOA proved that stepping outside one’s comfort zone means embarking on a peaceful journey of growth. I left a piece of my heart at CUOA. It’s a place where you can breathe in beauty—artistic beauty and the cultural beauty of the region. It’s a place to meet people: to get to know them, exchange ideas with them, and forge professional relationships and friendships. It’s a place to nurture your dreams: to grow and strengthen your skills, to grow and learn to give it your all to achieve your goals.”
“For years, I had dreamed of pursuing a master’s degree, and the executive format of the program I chose was exactly what I needed at a time of corporate transformation. The topic that impressed me the most and proved most useful was definitely Business Strategy: I really enjoyed the case studies and project work presented at the end of each module.
This program has transformed my career and my approach to work: I’ve been able to apply much of what I learned, both in terms of managerial skills and on a personal level through soft skills that have allowed me to broaden my perspective and set new goals for myself and my team.
I would definitely recommend CUOA to colleagues or friends: high-quality training with a practical, hands-on focus that can be directly applied in the workplace. My fondest memory of this program is the study group that formed, where the exchange of experiences and the team exercises proved just as important as the knowledge and skills we acquired. For me, CUOA stands for postgraduate education of the highest caliber.”
“I decided to enroll in this program with the goal of deepening, improving, and expanding my personal knowledge base and practical skills for managing Reti’s human capital in a way that aligns with the issues and needs of the workplace. The changes in the labor market over the past few years have made it necessary to reevaluate many activities related to recruitment and selection, onboarding and integration, as well as professional development and growth. The topic I enjoyed the most was the development of a leadership model and competency analysis.
This program gave me the opportunity to try out innovative techniques in a ‘safe’ environment, which allowed me to better leverage the company’s human resources. I would definitely recommend it, but only if you’re motivated by a firm commitment to improvement—based on the premise that you can and must constantly challenge yourself and engage with others to grow.
One episode I remember fondly is this: during one of the classes, we simulated a challenge with AI-generated quizzes to test our knowledge in this complex field. The winner would receive a copy of the book written by the instructor on the subject. I won on the very last question, with just a few points’ lead over a colleague.
For me, CUOA is a place where you can build strong relationships—even friendships—while expanding your cultural and professional horizons.”
