  • the type of training and/or experiential program the student attended and completed
  • the community to which the company belongs (e.g., CUOA Supporting Members).

These are digital certificates guaranteed and validated by CUOA, which is responsible for defining the associated knowledge, competencies, and skills, all of which are internationally recognized.

Investing in training and skill development not only improves individual performance but also fosters a dynamic and innovative corporate culture. In fact, people are at the heart of every business model. Valuing their skills also means fostering their spirit of collaboration and creativity, because focusing on their skills fosters a sense of belonging and mutual trust—elements that are vital to success. FAQ

An Open Badge is a digital certificate of subject-specific knowledge, personal skills (soft skills), and technical competencies. It indicates an acquired competency, a skill, or an achieved goal; the assessment criteria used; the issuer; and the identity of the person who earned the Open Badge.
Backed by the issuing organization and recognized internationally, an Open Badge can be included in a digital resume and on social media to convey—in a concise, quick, and credible way—what you have learned, how you learned it, and what results you achieved, to an audience around the world.
An Open Badge includes information about the issuing organization, the criteria for awarding the badge, details about the activity or course for which it is issued, the date of issuance, verification of the recipient, and other specific details (e.g., tags for acquired competencies, the badge’s expiration date, if any, etc.).
There are many reasons—here are the main ones: to enhance their certified skills, making them more marketable to validate and highlight what has been learned over the years and showcase it in a digital skills portfolio (personal e-portfolio) to share their professional and educational background, even on an international level, quickly and reliably to share educational achievements on social media (Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest) to promote themselves, through social media, to companies that are looking to hire candidates with specific knowledge, skills, and expertise.
CUOA Business School awards Open Badges for: MBAs, full-time and part-time master’s programs, structured executive courses (with more than 45 hours) and/or courses that serve as prerequisites for an Executive Master’s degree, and customized courses for companies (subject to an agreement with the company). In addition, Open Badges indicating membership in the CUOA Supporting Members Community are issued to all participating companies.
If you have attended and successfully completed a CUOA course that includes the awarding of an Open Badge, you will receive an email invitation to claim your badge at the end of the course. Please note that the badge is linked to the email address you provided during registration! CUOA will provide you with clear guidelines on how to claim your achievement and share it on LinkedIn and the platforms you’re most interested in.
